houses in which to teach. Since writing the above I have been informed by one of the trustees at Salem that they have succeeded in renting a house and that a free school of 50 pupils was opened there this morning. I have furnished the Agent at Girard with the necessary instructions in reguard to the school house that is being built at that place but have not recd. any report from him for the month of November. I intended to make a more lengthy report but have been prevented from doing so by ill health today.
