I am unable to make a full report of the Schools in this Sub Dist, as I have been unable to visit the Schools out of Talladega County owing to the short time I have been in charge of this Sub Dist. The Schools in this County are in a fair condition, the teachers and pupils seem to take great interest in them. The High or Normal School in Talladega, conducted and supported by the American Missionary Association, closed the term on the 26th of June, and I am informed by Mr. Brown, the superintendent that the next term will commence in October next.
There are four primary schools in this Sub Dist, whose term have not ended, and I am informed that some four or five others will be opened next month. There has been expended in material and labor, the sum of five hundred and fifty eight dollars, and three cents ($558.03) in
