Colonel:
I have the honor to transmit herewith my "Weekly Letter."
 
Nothing has transpired different to that I informed you of in last report.  The same routine of duties; adjusting difficulties; approving and recording contracts &c. Quite a number of employees are marking contracts for another year, which is, I think, a very good plan, and will in many instances be beneficial to the Freedmen.  They are fast learning this true position, and by the time their contract for 1866 expires, they will know what to do, and how to provide and take care
