I have the honor to transmit herewith my weekly report
Nothing of importance to communicate everything is going well up to date. the Freedmen have gone to work and Seem more contented and [[strikethrough]] S [[/strikethrough]] Better Satisfied than they have done at any former periods. the Planters express themselves perfectly Surprised at the way the Freedmen are working Some Say they are doing Better than when they were Slaves. there is a demand for hands at this place and none to be had. they are offering as high as $130.00 for good hands and furnish every thing. there are but very few complaints reach this office and they are confined principally to Settling contracts for the Year 1865 however there are Some few reaching here of Freedmen learning cir
