very generally however in a damaged condition in my opinion this corn should be sold at once, and the money accruing therefrom reserved as a fund to aid in the purchase of provisions for the destitutes should the issue of provisions again become a necessity.

The Bureau has in many cases paid for the transportation of relief supplies to Counties where they were too poor to meet that expense; Some other Counties have been greatly aided in that respect from a fund of ($7,000.00) Seven thousand dollars, in the hands of Governor R. M. Patton, having been contributed by the Citizens of Boston Mass.
