and safety of the people they were designed  to assist; the result has been that three (3) located respectively at Mobile, Montgomery and Demopolis, have been transferred to the Civil Authorities of the Counties in which they were located, and two(2),(one(1)at Selma, and one(1)at Huntsville) have been discontinued and their inmates and property transferred to the Hospital at Talladega.

Table No 1. appended to this report, exhibits the stations at which hospitals have been in operation during the year, together with the number of medical officers, stewards, attendants & employed at each. Tables Nos 2 and 3. show the number of Refugees and Freedmen respectively, which have been under treatment during the year.

From these tables it will be seen that 103 Refugees have been under treatment; 4 have died, and 3 still remain.
