Dear Kitty:

The Woman's Culture Conference, to be held in spring 1981, has received a grant from the California Council for the Humanities in Public Policy, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. While the grant was smaller than we requested, the honorariums, travel expenses and per diem of twenty-four participants has now been funded.

Enclosed is a copy of the most recent proposal, to be sent to the Los Angeles 200 Committee. Any comments you might make would be appreciated. While we are not yet sure that the Conference can be implemented, we are hoping that with additional funding we will be able to begin work!

For your information the following people have been selected as program planners for the conference, with an honorarium of $600.00 each for their participation:
