SALON SERIES AT THE WOMAN'S BUILDING

The Woman's Building continues the monthly series of the West Coast Women's Salon. The Salon series addresses a variety of interests in arts, politics, history, literature, spirituality, and health. All Women's Salons begin at 8:00pm on the first Thursday of the month.

The March 6 Salon celebrates the music of Cindy and Libby Harding, Mari Riddle, and Erica Verba from the group SABIA. With considerable folk and classical training, the women bring together their musical experiences to express their love and respect for Latin American culture and their solidarity with the struggle for human rights and self-determination of its people. Through slides and song, we will travel to Latin American for an artistic and politically enlightening evening.

The cost for each Salon is $4 for non-members and $3 for members, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The Women's Building is located at 1727 North Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The Women's Building is a public center dedicated to the presentation of women's creative accomplishments. Founded in 1973, it is the oldest feminist cultural institution in the world. For more information, please call 213-221-6161
