PAPERMAKING: SIMPLE AND FUN

Come to the Woman's Building on Saturday September 13, and learn how to make fancy paper. The class will be held at 1727 North Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles, from 10am-3pm. The fee is $40, children are welcome.

Using common household materials, participants will create sheets of paper in circles, squares, and free form; flat and textured; white and colored. Call for a list of materials to bring to the workshop.

Bonnie Thompson Norman, who teaches the workshop, is Studio Director at the Woman's Building. She is also a letterpress printer and proprietor of the Windowpane Press.

The Woman's Building is a public center dedicated to the presentation of women's creative accomplishments. Founded in 1973, it is the oldest independent feminist cultural institution in the world. For more information, please call 213/221-6161
