gone home & Natives gone to there Winter quarters Mr Broucher & his crew leaving here for home on the 20th so Battle Harbor will be deserted, & I can tell you I am sick of it.

Had a letter from my Boy Fred he told me as your office was not very far he was going to bring the North Pole Diary to you himself. hope he had done so. do not expect too much from it as its near about my first attempt.

I shall be glad to hear from you any old time. Hope Dr Bennett is quite well & I hope I have the pleasure of meeting you both again. when I get money to spare I will take a sum & see you but I am afraid I thought of it too late in life.

Kind regards to Dr. Bennett and yourself. hoping to hear from you in the course of the winter.

I remain yours truly
Moses Barthold
