PAPER NAPKINS

We do not use this article in our clinic but we did have on hand a quantity of old paper napkins (square type). We have forwarded a supply of these and although they are probably not the right shape they can be utilized. These can also be used for covers for the bracket table.

DEVELOPING TANK

We are not purchasing a developing tank due to the fact that our records show that we purchased a small developing tank in January of 1927 and this should be on board. It is a small box having a folding sleeve arrangement so that the operator can develope the films or even small plates, and it does away with the necessity of building a dark room on board. We did not know that they had a dark room on board. In case they do have and the door admits light, the executive officer would surely have it repaired.

PORTABLE OUTFIT

We are sending one complete portable outfit consisting of a portable chair, portable cuspidor, and bracket table, foot engine in case, and student operating case equipped with instruments. Supplies can be added to it from your excess supplies.

CHAIRS TO BE LEFT AT SETTLEMENT

This item has been eliminated. Wherever you wish to do dental treatment I would advise that you have the portable equipment set up and then have it repacked and placed on board. With the dentist reaching a settlement only once a year I would not deem it advisable to furnish such a settlement with a dental chair. I also do not believe it would be well in the future to dispense dental equipment to the settlements or natives. Possibly some supplies or medicines might be left but I do not believe that non-expendable instruments should be given to them.
