576 Fifth Avenue, N.Y.C. Tuesday June 10th, 1930 Dear Doctor Waugh:- The enclosed letter from Wales, Alaska arrived today and I am sending it along with the hope you may receive it before you happen-in at Wales, and so be fore-informed. I am also encloisng [[enclosing]] renewal application for Operator's Motor License which please sign [[strikethrough]] with [[/strikethrough]] here x 2 places only indicates. If this doesn't arrive back before you do, we can then make out another, but if you have opportunity to send along, I'll see that the transaction goes thru so you can drive your car as soon as reaching home. I have done lots of digging last week and this, trying to get in some money. In several cases I have sent statements where none have been sent for a year, and yet you have been giving treatment, and no notation that statement was not to be sent. Before I could send out any statements, I had to post receipts [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] of April and May, no postings or other indication to show payment had been made, except in the cash book. Have had no time, as yet, to get down into many of the holes which I hope to later. But I am in hopes money will come in in response to what I have already done. You see that Monday after you left, Bank called to say your Personal a/c had been overdrawn nearly $800 and so that noon, I made enough transfer from Special a/c to cover, and I shall make another tomorrow so as to cover amply for Income Tax and R.R.Cooperative payments, and also regular bills that come along about the tenth of the month. You need have no worry about it, as I shall take care of the account, but I wanted you to know just what had happened to date. We have been very busy every day so far with patients. Dr. Tucker is easing off on replacing bands that have come off from Cecile Webster- this because of letter I referred to from notation in Ledger. No response has yet come and I have sent along a June 1st statement too. Mr. Lohman came, as I night-lettered you he was going to, and gave me some idea of the changes, but as yet I've not been able to get at the balancing of May a/c in either set of books. Hope to soon. Mrs.Witte did not come in that day, wrote a note of apology, and came in two days later. Was able to answer questions on all the many loose papers, but when I remarked the Mosby seemed quite an undertaking from the present viewpoint, she came back quickly with"Of course I could do it for you, but it would take a day of my time, and if you will read all the correspondence and go over my notes you will find it very simple." Your letters about Mershon Course have all been conveyed to the School; also Berger letter, and disposition of practice. ------ I had a good trip over to Paxton Memorial Day, arriving there about ten o'clock that night, tired. We left Sunday morning at 9:30 driving via Mohawk Trail to North Adams, Williamstown, Pittsfield, Danbury, then Boston-Post here, 284 miles and from Danbury it was like 5th Avenue traffic, so heavy, stop and start. Arrived about 10:00 P.M. hot and tired. I remembered making almost that same trip several years ago but was not nearly as tired when I arrived here. Makes a difference whether one's drives the car. I shall write again last week in June, and my very best wishes go with you and your work. Sincerely Eva Jillson
