W. Va Institute Jno. W. Davis Pres. Reached Charleston 3:00 AM. Went to Mr. Bush's hotel got into Institute 7:00 A.M. Teachers and students made a big noise over me. Charlie and Bessie Mitchell took care of me nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Davis were lovely.
Saw bank at Charleston which was very good. Bumpers took me out for short ride, Got pullman to Cincy and from there to Atlanta. 
Reached Atlanta 12:30 next day Reached Augusta
