Dear Doris

I woke this morning to find the wind in the North East & cloudy.  yesterday was an ideal day & we were glad of such weather very unusual for the time of year hallowene passed off with no disasters except the false alarms the hoodlums rung in occasionally we took off our front door bell & shut the screen door they didn't interfere with anything in this neighborhood & we were glad of it.  I am writing to tell you that Mr. Turner called us up yesterday & said he had got the trees & was ready to put them in but young Doris told him she wanted to be around when he did
