Stoughton October 18th 1946

Dear Doris This is a very pleasant day not cloud like yesterday. & Doris is out this week end came around for O'clock Saturday she called over to see Maude last night who had been for a little ride with Bertha so guess she is improving. Doris mowed the front lawn after she changed her clothes. it was covered with leaves. then called up Mr Turnest he is going to put in the trees right away and put the tarred paper around so they wont be girdled by mice.

I think you were lucky to escape a serious accident, when that gas went all through the house. I shudder when ever whenever I think of it do be careful.

This is a good drying day Doris and I have both got our clothes dry. we hung them out early this morning. she is fixing her hair now and we are ready for our dinner
