Dear Children,

Hav'nt time to write a letter such as I want to so will just scratch off a few lines in answer to your two letters & will write a letter in a few days. We are trading off our place here (the two houses) for lots up on Market Street (where the car line is you remember) and I hav'nt any mind now for anything but figures. we go armed with pencil & paper figuring all the time when we ar'nt talking to agents & prospects & people who can give us information of one sort or another to throw some light on the questions We've just about decied to expect we'll be able to start the escrow to-morrow.

Egbert is having some new [[?]] made & is having to go to the city about every day which adds to the general mess we are in We dont know about an operation
