Personally appeared before me this Day and made oath to the following Statement,

on or about the First day of June, 1866. I purchased of one Mr Hogatt. who had been a Soldier in the Union Army. One Sorrel Horse for the sum of One Hundred and Twenty five Dollars. on or about about the Fourth of Janny. 1866. Lt. H.C. Long. A.A.Q.M. orderd me to dilever the Horse to him as a United States Government Horse, which I Objected to do, he Lt Long then threatened to put me in goal. I then dilevered the Horse to him. I then offerd, Lt. Long, my Gold Watch for the Horse. Lt Long said he would let me know in a few hours. in a few hours I called to see him again and he said he had sold his Gray Horse, and he would
