{SPEAKER name="Speaker 1"}
Well when we give a lady a lei, it's just like you greeting the person with your whole heart because you have love within the person,
[00:31:56]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 1"}
and you give that lei, then present that lei to them. It makes you feel good inside of you.
[00:32:03]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 1"}
It's just like when we have festivals, we give away things to show people how much we appreciate them coming out to to see what we have to offer.
[00:32:16]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 1"}
And you imagine, people comes out every year to see the festival. And they come out, not only to see the festival, but to learn the culture, to sit there and they make themself a lei, put it on their head, and they walk out. They really appreciate what they did.
[00:32:35]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 1"}
And if they can't finish it, we, the artists, finish it and give it away free.
[00:32:42]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
Our festival in Hawaii, where we live in Kalapana, it's called the Kamuamua Day, and it's a festival that is put together by the families in Hawaii - the community.
[00:32:56]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
And these families have a special talent, and they weave some, they sing some, they dance some, they carve, and we gather all these these families, and then we have them perform.
[00:33:12]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
And when people come, we have them sit down. We don't sell our things. We don't have any booths that we sell fans, baskets, bracelets.
[00:33:25]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
All the things that we have there are for you to make, and whatever you make, it's for you to take home.
[00:33:32]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
If you learn how to make a net, you take home that net. It's yours because -- because it has your mana, what we call "mana" is your power. And nobody else can have your power. Only you put your power into whatever you make.
[00:33:48]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
And if you want to give it away to somebody else, it's for you to give. It's not for us to tell you, "Oh, no, that's your first one. Don't give it away." It has your power in it, and it'll do what you want it to do.
[00:33:59]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
So, whatever you make at the festival, it's-- it's for you to take home-- whatever you learn. And you come like ten o'clock in the morning, and you just stay throughout the whole day.
[00:34:10]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
You bring your own lunch, and you just learn every different art and craft. And then all what you make there is for you to take home. We have nothing to sell.
[00:34:19]

{SPEAKER name="Speaker 2"}
And it's, you know,it's-- A lot of people come and, you know, they say, Oh, this is great. We're gonna come next year." And throughout the whole day we have entertainment, Hawaiian entertainment. And you just sit down on the grass and watch the

REOPENED TO FIX ALL TIMESTAMPS - which should go after the dialog. Not directly below the Speaker name. There should be SPEAKER, then DIALOG, then TIMESTAMP, then a space. And then it repeats. I believe Speaker 1 is Millie Kaawaloa - the oldest of the group.
