Prof. Woodbury,

Dear Sir,

Through some infelicity of expression in the letter from our Chairman to his brother Mr F G. Shaw, or some misapprehension on the part of Mr F. on the excellent Secy of the A.M. Assoc. - through mistake somewhere you have recd notice that was not intended.

This Soc. was very desirous to change some plans at Newbern, & conferred on the subject with Mr Shaw, & applied to Capt James, to have the arrangements made there with regard to our Teachers.
