It gives me sincere pleasure to speak of Mr & Mrs Bonnell in terms of high praise.
Associated with Mrs Bonnell in the work of Education at the North, I have no hesitation in commending her as a lady of rare culture, & a superior teacher in every respect. Of high moral & religious principle, heartily devoted to the elevation of the Freedmen no teach'r in N.C. was more untiring or successful in her work.
Somewhat intimately acquainted with Mr Bonnell, I have the most entire confidence in him as a man of business capacity & the strictest religious integrity.
