Rev R. M. Manly
Sup Schools &c

Dear Sir.

Yours of the 31st is recd.
Mr Barker reports to me from Alexandria Va that he left the following books on hand at the Second Baptist School. I supposed he turned over to Mr Walker the key of the desk we furnished him for their safe keeping-

171 Parker & Watsens Primer
207 1st Reader Primer
93 Second Reader Primer
45 Primary Arithmetics
11 Primary Geography
85 Higher Geography

There is also a quantity of slates. [[crossed-out]]Shall we send you one more 1st class female teacher.[[/crossed-out]] [] This line is an after thought. Chase & friends are at work I shall hear soon what they decide upon - [] How does Walker get on at the 2nd Baptist Church. Will he do there? or do you want him at Chimborazo & shall we send a lady to 2nd Baptist Church.

Write at once if you need any besides the above books. Or if they are not to be found, please advise us. Our advise to Barker was to leave Richmond, and as the committee do not wish to deal harshly, or to explore old matters
