Rev R. M. Manly

Dear Sir

I have written to Mr. C. Thurston Chase to ascertain whether the furniture in the York St. house can be removed at once & stored until you are ready for it, in Richmond. We wish to transfer Mrs Fisher at once to [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] some other place (Alexandria Va) she can remain a week or ten days longer, at N. Can't the Bureau help a little to get the furniture to [[strikethrough]] No [[/strikethrough]] Richmond. it must be sent [[strikethrough]] all [[/strikethrough]] in any event - Mr Abbott wished me to write you in reference to your ideas of compensation on salary, But as you have done so it is not necessary - The arrangement made in reference to Bureau Officers, I referred to last meeting of teachers committee, but failed to get an [[expense?]] from them but I have no doubt we shall have to stand it - I don't think Gen Howard would impose such a condition upon the A.M.A. But never mind - I think with effort we can get the money - I have not written upon other subject as N.B. Chase
