Rev. R. M. [[?]],
Dear Sir,
We are pleased to know you can heartily endorse the applications of Misses Williams, Campbell, Baker, the two Pooles and Mrs. Walker should they desire reappointments for another year.
You may as well give us the "slight qualifications" to your endorsement of the applications of [[?]] Wadsworth, Scott and [[?]]. So that we may put the paper on file with the one you now serve.
It is every way proper that you should make suggestions, in respect to the qualifications of those who may be associated with you another year. Indeed, we shall be obliged by any information you may be pleased to favor us with hearing your appointments for Richmond for the year to come.
Your acquaintance with what is needed in a teacher and our association with you, will especially prepare you to make suggestions, which can not fail to command our respect. Yours truly,
James J. Woolsey.
