My dear Sir,
After the full meeting of the Com. on Teachers held on the 3d, I had letters of pressing haste to write as to many points, that I availed myself of Mr Chapin's intention to write to you also; & deferred a little till I had talked with Miss Canedy, to apprise you of the decisions of the meeting so far as regards Richmond.  I knew the pecuniary settlement with Mr Chase, & the request that you should go in building with a certainty that we should occupy, were the two things most important then.

It was unanimously voted to request you to act as our Suptdt. of school & school affairs in Richmond, with the
