LYMAN ABBOT, Gen. Sec. J.M. McKIM, Cor. Sec.

New York, Sept. 21st 1866

Dear Mr. Manly : - A check for $90- was sent to Mr Pegram this afternoon.

Please write me a letter about Miss Knowles, and the colored teacher who had a school at Manchester, for I think I can secure the adoption of one of them by our Yonker's Auxiliary. I shall send [[strikethrough]] lay [[/strikethrough]] your statement to Mrs Scribner, the President of that society. Be kind enough to furnish their addresses.

You will probably have the Misses Cooke. I hope you want Miss Mercie N. Baker. Let me know immediately. Miss Powells' name was printed opposite to Richmond in the Journal by mistake.

With kindest regards,
Yours truly
Crammond Kennedy.
