Rev R.M. Manly,

Supt &C., Richmond Va.,

Dear Sir:-

Transportation certificates recd., but one which I inclose, lacks your signature. At your request the order for the transfer of the Misses Jones and Rowell is suspended. I shall notify Miss Stubbard thereof immediately. As soon as the matter is decided let me know.

We are going to do a great work in Petersburgh. The colored people are building one brick schoolhouse, and taking steps to put up another.

Cordially Yrs.
