I do not write this wishing to have anything said about it - but that you may have some idea of my situation - having been in the work several years - I am able to cope with these disadvantages, and have reason to feel, that we have made the school satisfactory and Col. Whytal Quarter Master at the Fort tells me that his children never were so happy in school before. I wish that the school shall commence again in the Fall. Some time in Sept. But the building cannot be used as it is - it leaks so badly and Col Whytal told me he would write to Gen Brown about it last week he will see that it is all done right, if he can get orders from the Genl to do it.
