I made no request for the privilege to go there & frequently told the Capt. & people that their were openings enough that there need be no anxiety in my part to establish a church in that particular place. I went there only by the earnest solisitation of Capt Connolly & the people who build the house.

I regret that Mr Murphy thinks I made a moving bid for the people, the cause we take is to help the people as they need and teach them to become self reliant as soon as possible
