Rev. R.M. Manley,
Rev. & Dear Sir,

I have today in operation three Cold. Sunday Schools connected with my white schools in this parish. But I find that they cd be much more successfully operated if they were separated, & my aim & prayer has been to have a cold. man ordained by my church (The Episcopal) & placed here as assistant to me, to take charge of this work. I am now in correspondence with this person whom God seems to have book to me. Until he is prepared for ordination I am hoping that I can start & place him in charge of a cold. Day-school. I write to know what assistance in building a school house I may be able to get from the Freedman's Bureau - I have been directed to communicate with you upon the subject by Maj. Alvord. Hoping soon to hear from you,

I am Yrs. Truly & Sincerely
Jno. McGill
