Dear M Manly, Yrs. of the 27th inst. at hand, with a note from Miss Howe, who accepts, but cannot be in Richmond before the 15th prox. on acct. of sickness at home. I have notified you of similar disability on the part of Miss Hancock.

If you will forward a requisition, on a small estimate of the number needed, I shall see that the books are sent. Make allowance for the even exchange of Willsons' Readers for old books of corresponding grades.
