EB 43 RF and AL 3d Div 11th SD Va Bureau RF and AL Hd Qrs 3d Div 11th SD Va Boydton Va March 25 18/68 Respectfully returned enclosed application to Rev R M Manly Supt Edu Dist Va (There Sub Dist & District Head Qrs) There cannot be any schools organized in this Div for Freedmen, without rooms first being rented to hold such schools in. There will be about 100 pupils to attend the Christians in school & the Freedmen have nearly money enough raised to board a Teacher, which they will do, but can do no more. There will be as many, or more scholars at that point than one Teacher can teach. The building will be ready by April 3 18/68 if rent is allowed, by proper authority.
