Dear Sir,

I trust you will pardon the liberty of a stranger, personally, yet one not wholly unacquainted with you, as connected with the work among the Freedmen; in asking a favor for herself and three other ladies connected with her in the Freedmen's Schools of Columbia - Misses Isham, Green & Mrs. West. We desire very much to stop in Richmond on our way north for a day or two, to visit some of the points of interest in and about that city, and we should be very glad to place
