Sir:
I am directed by the Assistant Commissioner to call your attention to Circular Letter from this office dated May 4th 1868 requiring you to furnish a statement showing the average amount of Stationary required per month for each officer and Agent of this Bureau, in your Sub-District.
A copy of the Circular Letter was forwarded to you on the 4th instant and no reply has yet been received from you. An early compliance with the requirements of the letter referred to is required.

I am directed by the Assistant Commissioner to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated May 20th, 1868 requesting transportation for two (2) colored children from Nashville, Tenn, to Akron, Ohio, and in reply thereto to inform you that application will be made for the transportation to Washington, D.C. by this office. Upon the return of the application, you will be notified to that effect.
