Dear Bvt.

I am glad that you have it in your power - "through an out side charity" to aid feeble schools.  For more than a year we had a large school - averaging, some [[near?]] 100 scholars - at Freedman's Chapel with two teachers, most of the time.  Several attempts have since been made to sustain a school there but failed for want of funds.  With such assistance as you propose to give a large & promising school can be sustained there - where there is a large col'd. population and a school is greatly needed & desired.
