HARRIS, President, with a Faculty of Twelve Professors, Teachers and Matrons Professors educated, respectively, at the University of Virginia Virginia Military Institute, U.S. Military Academy, &c. System of Teaching like that pursued in the University of Virginia. Great attention is paid to health, comfort, refinement, &c Good fare and good rooms, with fires in each. This is one of the most flourishing schools in the South, and is attended by pupils from nearly all sections of Virginia and various Southern States. This session arrangements will be made to accommodate all applications. Terms very moderate. Staunton is distinguished for its health, scenery and society.

This School for Boys opens SEPTEMBER 1st and closes last of June.

TERMS: Board and tuition, 10 months, $275. Fuel, washing and lights at cost, With commodious buildings, Bath rooms included, in a section noted for its beauty of scenery, its healthfulness, and its many social and religious advantages, no location could be more desirable for a Male School.

The Principal, educated at the University of Virginia, and "cordially and confidently commended to public favor" by the Faculty of that institution, have had an experience of five and ten years respectively, as teachers in Schools and Colleges of high grade. They will devote the whole of their time and energy to the interests of the School and will be assisted by other teachers of ability.

The course of instruction will be thorough in all branches usually taught in schools of highest grade  Special attention will be given to Book Keeping, and to the most practical portions of Natural Science. Opportunities will also be afforded for instruction in Drawing and Music.
