delay surprises me, and but that I know she has been in your schools for two years, would tell very much against her.  From Miss Jones & Miss Renne not a word has come since the passes were sent to them on the 21st. ult I can duly hope that they have passed through the city when I was away from the office.  I sent to each of them however a most urgent note yesterday.

This in reply to your first letter of the 29th ult., the other asking commissions for certain persons named will be brought up on Monday at the meeting & I have no doubt the Commissions will be mailed to you that evening.  Are these teachers [[strikethrough]] named [[/strikethrough]] at their posts already.
