I arived at this place last evening, and meet Mr Dow, and he showed me the letter here with enclosed. of which I most earnstly approve The Major has expressed a great desire to have a schooler at that place, so I know he would join us, and do all he can for a teacher, if one could be got Mr D. is a fine young man, and does more for the benefit of our schools, and the work of Education than any other person in this part of the country, nothing is needed more in these parts than schools.
