I may not be quite correct in the numbers given above, but I know the sum was quite considerable, and we fully counted on their raising it when we send Mr. & Mrs. Burbank back on smaller salaries, & at any rate, it is demoralizing to the people to let them break their promises is such an easy way. What can be done about it? Mrs. B. says that if they insist on payment of tuition fees, they shall lose their scholars.
