New Kent Va May 31st 1869.

Mr Manly.
Dear Sir:

Your very kind letter came safely to hand. I will be up if nothing prevents the first week in July and have a settlement of books and other affairs. Average attend once not as large this month as heretofore. I hope it will be much more next month. Sorry you cannot come down according to former hopes, but we must expect to be disappointed some times in this great and pressing business of life. Examination exercises on Wednesday the 30th of June.

Most Truly Yours
Annie Alston
