Mr __ Manly

Sir,
For compliance with a request of Mr. J. W. Cromwell I take the liberty of writing to let you know how our school is geting on. We have a very fine school. Some 130 scholars have a good teacher and all express intense satisfaction and in fact I think we have the best school in this Section of County and it is constantly increasing every body wishes to send to this school and there are children here from a distance the assistant teacher Miss Ann Smith has quit the school some months since but we have supplied her place by one that I think better suited. We would be pleased to have instructions from you at any time all advice thankfully received with much thanks for favors received.

We are very sincerely yours,
