I sincerly hope that he can draw this salary during vacation as the pay is very small that he has - he is a poor man like the rest of the Freedmen & a worthy one I have boarded here in his family for three months and feel very grateful to them for their exceeding kindness - he is a man that I think would do remarkably well in a school - as he is very conscientious - a devoted Christian man of sound sense - I feel confident to say that he would be successful in a col. school, and hope that he will [[strikethrough]] cont [[/strikethrough]] be employed another year - he is not able to work but little as his left arm troubles him so that he cannot use it but little - when you write in regard Please Address Lois J.
