His children attend the school, the only white children that ever enter these excellent schools tho' growing up around us in pitiful ignorance, as their parents did before them. 
My friend, Miss Howland came with me past November & staid one month & together we opened this school on the same basis as her own had been in Heathsville. 
It is her idea that it is best, every day, to make these schools self supporting to the utmost extent. No house was open to receive
