North Shore, New York, Dec. 8th 1869

Rev. R. M. Manly

I enclose a note to Miss Hall – if you approve, please to forward it at once. I do not wish to send her back against your wish or hers, but as I tell her, I have regretted removing her & would like to have her back.

If she leaves, we will send you a young man in her place, so you will not be the loser. I take the liberty, as you see, of telling her to ask you for money, if she requires it.

P.S. Please return enclosures of this A.M.
