Dear Sir:

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Check no. 359 to pay Repair of Madison St School and appropriation to Yellow Branch School House, and Daily School Registers.
 
Now to your inquiries in regard to that unique letter to "The Board of Trustees, Washington City, D.C." Three days ago I found that the teacher of that school which has the honor of the authorship of that letter and which is the same school that asked for the fifty dollars appropriation, is not the proper person to teach any longer. He was recommended to me as a good and able man. But I find him making mischief in every way. He has the disorganized the people. He called to his assistance James Lynch - the man for whom the application is made for "license to preach and perform the Matrimonial services"-
