Mr Manly,
I now write to inform you of the present situation of our schools here. We have tried our best to make this school a good one but it appears that the more we do for the people here, the more we may do, they have an idea that we should demand no pay from them for our board, which is twenty dollars per month. They have failed to pay it for March up to now. Please us what we shall do. More over Miss Fields who has been trying very hard to make her school a good one was getting treated very unkind and now
