Schoolroom 12 street
Lynchburg Va April 30th 1870

It is my happy privilige for the first time to make a report of the which I commeed in this city on the 5th March last now numbering 54 pupils situated on 12 street in the Building known as Flynn's shop. I and paying $600 per month for one room.

My night class is of the laboring potion of our people and they show an increase desire for education. the children are beginng to learn what the word study is which are encuriging signs.
