Hanover Court House V.a. May 4th. 1870

Sir. I forwarded my Report to you on the 2nd Inst. by Dr. D. M. Norton. My average attendance last month was not too large as [[strikethrough]] usual [[/strikethrough]] usual on account of the people's taking their children to help them to put in their crops.

I wish you would please send me some maps to hang up in the house for the scholars to learn the country by.

Please gave to Mr. Courtney the six dollars due me for April. I wrote to you for six dollars in advance, & you last month but you only sent me two, you sent ten dollars, three for Mr. Courtney
