to be erected. In regard to 7th Question: The Freedmen are very anxious for schools and are ready to do all in their power to aid in establishing schools. but in their present condition they can do but little they would however purchase and or pay rent for it. keep the school house in repair defray the expenses of board of teachers and furnish light and fuel and take care of the school rooms. I think that public sentiment is more favorable towards the education Freedmen. than it was eight month ago.

I am very Respectfully
