Sir,

In compliance with your request of the 17th inst I have the honor to report as follows, there is a building at Wytheville Va, owned by Mr F.S. Spiller of Baltimore, MD. The rent of which is paid by the Bureau the building is used both for school purposes & church, it will accommodate about (150) one hundred & fifty scholars. The teachers are (2) two colored ladies from the north whose board & salary is paid by Northern Charitable Associations, the probability is that the building can be rented again,-

There is a building at Abingdon Va owned by Freedmen capable of accommodating about (100) one hundred scholars, the teacher of this school is also paid & boarded by Northern Charitable Associations, the building is used both as church & school house,
