Sir I saw Mj Bond some minutes since and learning from him that he had referred a case to you for your decision between R.D. Daniel and H Dycus. and that he had also sent up some affidavits, not letting me know any thing about them and knowing that there were some facts on the case, that he did not know. I write requesting you to lay over those papers, until I get there. The arrangements made in relation to the boys taking tobacco or part of the crop ,were ordered here by Major Bonds predecessor. The instructions were given generally some of the colord persons exacted money others took tobacco for their services. The man giving one of those affidavits I fear had visited the [[blank space on page]] too often, &c. I have a little from R D Daniel,
